This piece is one of my more recent compositions. It starts as just a standard fugue which then changes into a longer adagio section before going back to the fugue theme to end the piece.

I have sorta mixed feelings about this work. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. What I really don't like is that in the adagio section I use a chord progression and melody that I have used over and over again in many of my other works (Nightmares of Fantasia, Violin concerto in C-minor, and many others). I got myself into a rut where I couldn't think of anything else to do, but use that old chord progression. After I finished writing this piece (a little over a year ago) I had thought that there was no more originality left in me.
