tbh I'm not that great at theoretical physics, but it's the dimension of time applied to spacial dimensions essentially, possibly useful for equations modeling electrons, but a hypothetical macro-scale manipulation could be something like this where multiple mutually exclusive possibilities could be taking place simultaneously or something. I'm sure a physics major could probably untangle what I'm trying to say (or confirm that I'm completely wrong and have no idea what I'm talking about XD ). also thanks for the link, sort of sounds like I was on the right track, not sure though.

i'm going to go out on a limb and say he was inspired by cartoon animation smears, like me, considering he was 8 when the dover boys was made

pretty sure he never knew about the dover boys due to his childhood during WW2 but the influence of that cartoon over the 7th and 9th art industry might have influence him indirectly...
