Alaric chuckled before the mouse in front of him, appropriately sized given its species. The little thing had been chosen as the representative of his town, told to give the king some important news. He quivered before the macro crocodile, barely able to speak at his place between toes larger than him. It was an amusing sight really. Pathetic, but amusing. Much like all of these littles.
Alaric suddenly leaned forward, reaching downward with his clawed, blue fingers. The mouse shrieked, the first sound he’d been able to squeak out since entering Alaric’s chambers. He tried to run, overcome with a sense of panic and need for survival. However, the macro was very used to plucking people of his size from the ground, even when they were on the run. He easily pinched the mouse’s tail between his fingers, the thread-like appendage soon pulled taut.
The mouse let out another squeak, falling to his rump with a painful force exerted on his tail as he was pulled back… and then up… and up…. The ground shrunk away, disappearing beneath him. Alaric’s deep chuckles reverberated through his body, shaking his entire form with fear.
Soon, the mouse was held before Alaric’s snout, powerful huffs of air blowing around him like a warm hurricane. Suspended by his tail, the mouse was kept in a constant state of full pain, right before the mouth that had devoured so many of his people…
“Well then… what is it?” Alaric asked, each word blowing around the mouse with the stench of meat and mead. “Spit it out already, I’m a busy monarch after all.” His stomach growled, creating a booming rumble that reverberated throughout the throne-room. It only brought the rodent more terror. “And you’d better hurry before I miss lunch… may need a snack to tide me over.”
“I… I… we needed to…” the mouse finally squeaked out, swinging round and round. He stared into Alaric’s expectant yellow eyes, full of a bored malice. “W-we don’t have enough for the food tax…!” he spat out, utterly terrified. “A m-macro came through and ate everything! Along with a couple farmers… we barely have anything left to feed ourselves with, much less you!”
Alaric’s eyes narrowed, his lips curling into a frown. “And?”
“A-and we won’t be able to complete the quota by the time you like,” he squeaked. “I-if you can just push back the date, or accept a smaller amount this time, we can-”
“That’s not really my problem, is it?” Alaric asked, his stomach growling even more loudly at the idea of his food supply dwindling. “After all, you were the ones who lost all of the food. Your King comes first.”
The mouse flinched, shivering in fear. “I-I, well the reason for the tax is so you pr-protect the towns from o-other macros, so…”
A wave of fury suddenly passed through the room, muting the mouse in an instant. King Alaric radiated rage and anger, utterly terrifying the rodent. “You do not tell me what my job is, rodent. I am your king. And I’m can eat whatever I please.”
Suddenly, the mouse began to rise, letting out a squeal of panic. He gazed downward, seeing Alaric’s snout rise up to meet him. The blue, scaly lips opened wide, revealing a slimy maw of pink flesh. Strings of saliva snapping between white fangs and gums. The disgusting tongue below convulsed, drooling for his entry. “N-no please! I- AhhhH!”
He screamed, the fingers holding the mouse up letting his go. He fell, air rushing from his lungs… and soon, he crashed into the tongue, landing with a wet slap on the muscle. Drool soaked his fur immediately and he started to slide downward toward the pulsating throat….
Finally, the mouse was squeezed tight by a wet GLRK, keeping him trapped. The slick muscular walls held him tight, with no room for escape. He couldn’t breathe, much less struggle. And it continued to drag him downward, reducing the view of the outside world form a portrait framed by fangs to a pinprick of light.
Alaric belched as the mouse fell into his empty belly, flexing his gut to squeeze the tiny body within to feel every inch of it. “Now then… time to ration out those citizens…”
