Looks like a brilliant work. Judging by the engine space and thickness of front constrictions- it's gonna be some powerfull beast with long-travel suspension =o

In this case, you could race it in any sanctioning body. Only difference really are main cage diameters, 1½" or 1¾", with 1½" being to select sanctioning bodies.

is the formed cradle some kind of a requirement or just how that kind of chassis is built?

Requirement to use a "factory" front clip. There's aftermarket versions of these as most OEM ones are hard to find. Chevelle copy.

Ahh, that makes sense, rock on!! My welder is being a generator today, good to exercise the Bobcat!

I will say that the bobcat had been used as a generator a lot before I purchased it. Ran okay though but it ran a lot better after a whole fistful of large 7018 at near 200 amps, imagine it removed all the carbon and seated the rings nicely.
