This is Devan. He shows up later on in my comic project.
He lost one of his fingers in an accident, and that hand is pretty weak. He can't really maintain a good grip with it. Luckily, he's right handed.

This is by no means his final design, and I'm sure I'll fiddle with it again between now and his official debut.

The Ralian nation has little in the way of goods that they can export, so instead they export labor in the way of Mercenaries. Mercenaries (I may come up with a better word for them) basically get called on to fight or even to do some tasks only Ralians can do (They are the only race capable of flight, after all).

Devan's handicap made his attempts to join the forces a struggle. Since Ralian males can't use mana (Mystical Art that allows manipulation of matter), he had no way of faking having a good hand, so he had to make do with the one he had. But he's overcome the challenges thus far and is a respected leader by the time our cast finds him.

Also he will be wearing clothes.
