Hehe, yah I am starting to get on the 5 digit bandwagon, for my more detailed commissions that is, not the comics though.

I view it as personal preference. Certainly I know a lot of artists go with it since it's easy enough to use a human hand as the model but depending on the species I can quite like how it looks with a different number of digits.

I called her out on that as well when she sent me a WIP, heh. Sure took me by surprise. Not that there's anything wrong with her usual style of doing hands.

As long as she got it right for you. I know how that disappointment can be when you have a great picture but it has some small flaw that means if you try to use it as a ref that flaw is going to be repeatedly kept in.
