I wanted to do something innocent with my fatfur characters, just cause I feel I don't do that enough. I feel I've just been drawing fatfurs, but fatfurs are more than just big bellies to me. They're tough-as-nails tanks made of thick muscle and protein-injected meat. ...But they're also inocuous, cute, and have a huggable side to them. So... I wanted to show the latter.

I've always had this idea. If you have ever read my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Fanfic Mightyfats, the predicessor to Ricky and the gang's story "My Life As A Really Fat Hero," you may remember Valarie the Ursaring. I decided to draw her here, as a regular bear, with Dobbins singing Valerie by the Zuxtons (also covered by Amy Winehouse) to her by her house. In Mightyfats they ended chapter four as good friends, and I feel they could potentially be more than such.
