No one I expected to die, did.

Everyone expected the big three Avengers to die because their contracts are up but they all survived. For now.

It was them watching the other die that pulled at my heart string the most.

This hit me too, like HOLY STUFF, Poor Rocket, I have no idea how he's going to deal with this going forward, but it'll be interesting to see.

Whole movie I was sitting there going "I swear to god I better not have to watch Rocket die."

Saw it in IMAX 3D and...very good movie with many unexpected results. Based on Marvel cannon and several informed You Tube videos: Captain Marvel is one of the few that can take out Thanos and considering that last scene I can also guess that they get the gauntlet from Thanos and bring everyone back (Time Stone). Maybe a few do permanently die but all is resolved before Marvel/Disney move onto their next phase.

Sure, most will come back, but in the meantime Rocket has lost everyone he loves and cares about.

Yes. But it has not hit him fully as I think he does not know of Quill and the others yet.

My prediction:

#1: Rocket Raccoon spinoff.
#2: IW2.
#3: Next GotG has them acting like IW didn't ever happen.

At least that's what I hope happens.

Dude, most of the people dont read descriptions before watching the image, i also dont read the title when i look at 100 images per day. I was just about to go to the cinema tomorrow, avoiding spoilers, i was even avoiding 9gag and facebook, the best as i could for almost a week, cause premiere of the movie in my country was few days later than in U.S.
It's probably my fault i guess... but m just tired. I got Force Awakens spoiled the same way, another movie i was hyped about as fk and i felt my experience was ruined just before it even started.
I guess the dmg was done. But if you care about your followers, i think you should at least change the demn title, to make it obvious for people lie me, cause im pretty sure there will be more dummies like me (even the title is demn spoiler - Last guardian , aspecially if someone will read the keywords).

These were my thoughts too. I'm glad they had the balls to do all this. Even though it's unlikely it'll all last.

I was half crying the latter half of the movie, just waiting for Rocket to die at any moment. I didn't expect him to be the very last one remaining.
I guess you can't halve what you only have one of.

The disbelief and trying to speak out and then...silent, gone just like that.

Death is portrayed perfectly.

This movie has broken my heart and I am so fucking pissed. To kill off the entire franchise in one movie is the biggest gut punch. This is red wedding level of story writing, where the deaths are just for shock value.

This is exactly what happened in the comics. In fact it's less bloody since virtually none of the heroes that attacked Thanos in the comics survived. Don't worry, most of them will be back.

Why do I have to wait a damn year for the ending I really want.

Because people don't want a five hour movie.

I would. Shoot I love super long movies. Put an intermission in, people by popcorn take a leak.

The real problem is that a five-hour movie would cut into the time that could be spent playing a second movie, to a second audience, who all bought tickets and gave the theater a second round of profits.

You see, as weird as it may sound, I'm not entire sure any actually DID die. My reasoning is the soul stone, but I won't delve to deep into that right now.

So, I've always been amazing at guessing how things are gonna end in literature before they happen. I almost always get it right. After watching this movie, I have a feeling I know what's actually going on, and though I won't spoil anything, I'm going to leave a little clue to my reasoning:
The soul stone: a soul for a soul, right? Well, the infinity stone represents all souls, so if it is one soul for a soul, wouldn't that mean every soul would need to trade a soul to do so?

This isn't my exact line of thought currently, but it's what started it.

One can hope. I'd be satisfied if the last we saw of Rocket in the MCU was him running a custom gun shop with her.

Also, not entirely sure Rocket is the weakest. Have you seen the guns he wields with that tiny ass wrist? That's a hell of a lot of leverage to keep steady enough to shoot.

Pound for pound he's stronger than Quill but he only weighs ~40 pounds. Even if he can bench five times his weight Pete is still stronger. And even he could lift more, he can't hit as hard because he doesn't have the mass to back it up.

Depends on how well he can focus his strength into an attack. If he can put enough power into the initial kick off of an attack, the speed may be able to compensate for the lack of mass.
Remember the equation is F = ma. Acceleration counts just as much as mass.

It just depends on how much the cybernetics boost his strength, but in GOTG2 he wasn't punching holes in people. He seems to hit about as hard as a normal human.

I didn't think of this until now. And I know Rocket isn't going to take this lying down. Sufficed to say, what happened to Ronan is going to look like a slap on the wrist. Although now that I think of it, he may not be the last one

We all know most of the dead people will come back, but Rocket doesn't. He might drink himself into a stupor, seclude himself in a lab to make things to kill Thanos or put it all behind him and lead a team. All three would make for interesting viewing but I'm hoping for a Thor/Nebula/Rocket team in IW2.
