final request 96/129: Arme charmante Schnüfflerin
request for
2Kur0w featuring his OCs Gryphon and Meredith. It appears that some investigation about some cowboys has gotten poor Meredith in some kind of pinch.

For those wondering about the context, the lion is a supervillain who returned from the dead to seek vengeance on his killers (who happen to be former members of a military task force), and the lieutenant caribou is the daughter of one of those killers.
The reason the map is marked with cowboys is because those are some of the places where Gryphon (the lion) has “seen death” (that is, killed someone.) The reason he uses cowboys in particular is because that’s what Death actually takes the form of in the story these characters come from.
Holy shit, this is awesome, by the way! I can’t thank you enough for it! Would it be acceptable to repost this on my DA page, with full credit given?

Even if you see the body, even if you're absolutely sure it really truly is the villain and he's definitely dead, you can never count on a supervillain not to return and with vengeance in mind. I get the definite vibe of Doctor Doom from Gryphon, I think with the combination of the mask and that he's well dressed with a sophisticated air about him, albeit a killer and I suspect likely one of those intelligent and ambitious villains rather than a thug. I suspect that sadly Meredith might meet a grim fate at his hands.
Interesting symbolism with death and cowboys, and with an intriguing villain, looks like you did an excellent job in bringing to life 2Kur0w's vision and despite the grim situation also a very beautiful piece of artwork.

I’m glad I’ve created a character who interests you so much that you try to figure out what kind of villain he is, and even more glad that your assessment is so close to the truth.
Indeed, Gryphon is no mindless thug who murders indiscriminately; in fact, he only kills those he feels he has a reason to. This includes those who wronged him in the past (or in Meredith’s case, the daughter and successor of someone who wronged him in the past), those who stand in his way, and those who dare point a weapon at him. He sees himself as a bringer of retribution, not unlike a fairytale monster meant to scare people into behaving as they are told, and his story’s most striking motifs are the cyclical nature of revenge, the everlasting and inevitable impact of death, and an intelligent and charismatic man’s descent into psychopathy.
Finally, I have good news and bad news. Good news is, this is not the last time in the story that Meredith and Gryphon meet, and the second time they meet, the tables have turned.
Bad news is, the second time they meet is in the afterlife; the caribou does not survive the encounter you see depicted above.
