Once upon a time I played FF9 a lot. I became obsessed, and wrote a fanfic. I barely made it through the first "act" before I forgot about it completely.

Kaikou was my Mary-Sue fanchar in the story. She was more or less a reincarnation of the soul of the Iifa(Lifa, depending on which version of the game you have) Tree. I had the ending planned so that she gave her life to become the tree again or something like that, all in the defense of... eh, I dont even remember anymore.

Either way, I've been listening to remixes of FF9 music, and this one remix reminded me of her, so I drew her. With a tree. In Lindblum. Why? I don't even KNOW anymore it's three in the morning shut up.
