Masters of the Universe is probably the most important franchise in my life, so far as shaping me. The packaging art was my inspiration for wanting to do art, and the characters were just amazing to me. the first one I remember owning was Merman, a horrifying green monster with perfectly round eyes, and a just frightening face, over all. I honestly was a bit scared of him, as a kid, even though he stayed my favorite figure/character, despite him not getting his fair shake in the cartoon
