
Ok, maybe I waited a bit too much for this to be uploaded here(the reparation was done 3 years ago), but it's always better late than never!
This is an old dragon pendant - class of '99 - that, as it can be seen, was missing 2 out of 3 "gems"(not even glass-made, maybe some kind of plastic). I had no clue on how to fix it until I found them: two majestic QFNs( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quad_.....-leads_package ) of the perfect size to be embedded in those damn tiny squared holes. The problem was then give 'em some thickness(those ICs are really thin)... what could have been better than the same thing used to seal them in place? *praises cyanoacrylates*
I wouldn't like to boast but I'm really proud of the result, because I finally managed to brought it back to life!
