Hello there today, my darling kitteas!
Today, I'd like to show you a few of my absolute favorite things within my purrsonal collection.
Please keep in mind that the links to each product can be found by clicking the underlined words! And with that...
Let us begin!
First things first, the star of the show! My darling tea lovers, we all know that our dearest tea never takes a back seat!
Today, my precious cup was filled with the ever aromatic Pouchong , a bold green tea that apologizes to no one! For those tea purists out there, this will soon be your new best friend.
With a flavor that is somewhere between a green tea and an oolong, it has an ever so slightly fruit-like aroma that fills the air, giving it the most glorious aura that one could hope to sense from their cup! The scent drifts and swirls within your mind, letting you drift away to a more simple, peaceful moment.
The stress simply melts away, until the cup is empty at least!
While the price tag may intimidate some, it is always important to remember: For the best qualitea, you truly do get what you pay for! At a little over $11 an ounce, each batch of leaves can be re-used for up to four cups of tea! The flavor remains most bold with the first two ceups, yet even as it mellows out for the last two, it is no less delicious! In fact, it only seems to grow slightly sweeter.
I enjoy this tea most without any sugar, honey, or milk. Truly, on its own, it needs no assistance!
And unlike others, it has no bitter aftertaste, nor that dry, almost powdery feeling on your tongue that other green teas often leave! Has anyone yet to discover what causes such a horrid feeling, anyhow?
This tea is best on its own for a relaxing afternoon drink, a glorious cup to sip on while reading, or when eating a light meal such as a soup or rice-based dishes, or even sea foods. When drinking while eating sweets, it can take on a slightly unusual after taste, so do be careful! With others, however, it refreshes the palate wonderfully!
Second... the wonderful Tea Forte Iconic Infuser . This adorable little thing was love at first sight due to that precious little leaf! But... sadly my review for it does not glow nearly as much as for the tea itself!
You see, this infuser is delightful for smaller tea leaves, as the holes are small enough to prevent almost any of it from escaping into your cup! However, with larger leaf teas... it also prevents them from blooming to their full potential.
On top of this, as it loads from the bottom, it can at times be quite the hassle to fill or clean, and the bottom never fully can be removed due to being attached to the little leaf on the wire!
Leaves like to get stuck within the edges, and goodness are they a pain in the rear to fix once that happens!
But, it is quite adorable at least!
For us simple kitteas, that is enough to justify the price!
And last but not least, my absolute favorite little cup in the world! The Poom Double-walled Teacup , also from Tea Forte!
Not only is the name the most absolute precious thing in the world to say (Go ahead, my dear. You know you want to! Say "Poom" a few times out loud and try not to smile. I sure can't!), the glass does a marvelous job of keeping your tea steaming and your paws comfortable!
For someone with quite small paws such as mine, I often have to hold a cup two handed, yet the gentle curve of this one allows me to comfortably hold my cup with one hand without fear of dropping it! On top of this, it is surprisingly durable. Although my first cup sadly died (RIP Poom#1, you will be missed!) due to a rather unfortunately smashing revelation, it survived several drops beforehand!
It resists stains easily, and keeps your tea comfortably warm for longer than truly needed! What more can one ask?
Just... do be careful, my dears!
I have learned the hard way, when your Poom decides to die, it will go out with a bang! I'm still finding little glass shards from my first one in the kitchen!
And with this, my little review for today has come to an end.
Thank you for joining me, darlings!
Remember, keep your chin up and your teacups full.
Until next time, farewell!
