I did a few new things on this ref sheet. For one, the center standing figure (side view) is done "anatomic" style to show the shape of his body under the feathers. Second, I threw in a color sketch of two of his figures (one in WWI German infantry uniform and one in period civilian clothing) interacting (they are looking at a locket picture of the soldier's sweetheart). If you look closely, I've modified the clothing to fit anthrobirds (e.g., buttons on the side under the wing). The expressions on the top are Telegram stickers too. Lots of fun painting this-- thanks for the commission!
