Yes, I've gone off the rails again! I figured since I decided to keep the big RCA, solid state, console, I'd try and find a nice Zenith to go with it. Well, I posted a want ad on Craigslist last Friday afternoon and barely 24 hours later on Saturday afternoon, I got a call about this console. It's the hybrid unit, using a tube tuner with a solid state amp. Measures five foot, seven inches across and houses a total of 8 speakers. Two woofers, two horn mid-range, four tweeters. Once rebuilt, this should be an impressive beast! It came from the original family as I was dealing with the grand-daughter of the original owner. Um, she also threw in a free Silvertone console stereo that was left behind in the workshop of the property her family just bought....
