Don't you think it's easier to make a hole in the mouth to breath through than hiding breathing equipment and a oxygen tank?
Same goes for vision. There aren't many fursuiters running around with a blindman's stick. The FOV is limited, but you can still see through the eyes and mouth of the suit.
