Clovis Amedee is one of Mabel's best friends, His family moved to New Orleans a few generations before he was born, While his species, Shiba Inu/Pomeranian mix isn't native to the area, voodoo blood runs in his veins.

Clovis Amedee is an old soul. He has lived hundreds of years through Voodoo magic. Swapping bodies each time one gets old, or when he just feels like it's time for a change.
