Been thinking about getting an anthro version of my chakat fursona for a while now- mostly due to the fact that some artists charge extra for taur-forms and I have to stick to a budget more often than not with my commissions these days. That and the fact that sometimes I wanna have pics with a more humanoid form :P. Regardless, this ref turned out spectacularly, especially considering how much bouncing around I did on the initial idea. This was gonna be for a new fursona, but I couldn't make up my mind so I went with this, seeing as I'd already wanted to get something like it for a while.
This version of Cloudwalker's based off a tabaxi version that I played as for a D&D campaign a little while back. I only got to play a single session with the group before everyone split due to conflicting schedules, sadly, but I had so much fun that I can't wait to play again at some point in the future, filling the void in the meantime with D&D streams like The Unexpectables and of course, Critical Role.
We played in the Tal'dorei campaign setting (i.e. the continent from the first Critical Role campaign), and Cloud's backstory was that she was originally a human Storm Sorcerer from Turst Fields, a little township just outside of Westrunn. Through a twist of fate, the human ended up dying when they tried to protect their mother from a murauding band of orcs that attacked the family caravan on their way home from a festival in Westrunn. A passing archdruid managed to save the sorcerer's life through the Reincarnate spell, though they came back to life as a tabaxi woman. Having hid her desire to be a woman from her family all these years, Cloud took to her new form rather well, something that did not sit right with her traditionally minded family- who already kept her at arm's length for her Storm Sorcery. Unable to bear their silent, and at times passive aggressive, judgement, Cloud left to live with the druids that had saved her for a while, learning more about her powers before striking out on her own as an adventurer and wandering bard, as well as promising potential member of the Golden Grin- a network of heroes and inspiring rebels who pushed back against tyranny wherever it reared it's ugly head.
If I'd gotten to play past the first session with the group, she would've eventually formed a pact with an Archfey and taken at least three levels in Warlock, receiving a small pseudodragon named "Token" (a reference to Vex'ahlia's brown bear Trinket from Critical Role) as a familiar for her Pact of the Chain feature.
But yeah, extremely happy with how this turned out ^^. I'm likely going to default to my chakat form more often than not, since I'm more used to it and I just love lounging about in taur-form, but I'll probably get some pieces with tabaxi Cloud from time to time . As always,
scissorsrunner did a fantastic job bringing this version of Cloud to life, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her on this. She's such a great artist and I cannot recommend her work enough. If you have the time, swing by her gallery either here or on DA and check our her stuff, she's got tons of cool artwork.

I use an app on my phone: Unit Converter Pro Plus.
It's for Android. Despite the name, it's the free version, but I don't think it has any ads.
It allows you to create custom conversion equations, if there's something you need but it doesn't have it pre-programmed in. There are almost 80 categories, and thousands of units, so it really has everything you might ever need.
Swapping between inches & centimeters is pretty easy to do on any little calculator though, if you can remember 1 inch equals 2.54 centimeters. I'm surprised Google got this one wrong, but it was probably just a confusing interface.

Heck yeah! I'm pretty sure they were initially conceptualized with cheetahs in mind- even though the one in Volo's Guide to Monsters is clearly a jaguar and their original setting was influenced by ancient Aztec culture- given what the Cat's Agility trait gives you. Double you movement speed (base speed of 30ft) so long as you move 0 feet on your next turn? That's nuts! Add to that the additional 10ft of flight you get as a bonus action whenever you cast a spelll of 1st level or higher as a Storm Sorcerer with your Tempestuous Magic feature- which doesn't provoke an Attack of Opportunity- and this version of Cloud's one speedy kitty XD!
Thanks ^^. Just wish I'd had a chance to play more of the game with her XD. Hell, in our first session- first for me, since the group had already played once before then but I'd missed it- before everyone split, I didn't even get to kill anything :P. All I did was diplomacy our way out of a fight with a Coutl, who then decided to put us through some divine test of some sort. I probably could've figured it out too, if I'd bothered to pick up some utility spells- specifically Comprehend Languages- during character creation, instead of focusing on combat abilities XP.
Hehehe, yeah, I think Chakat form's the one I'm gonna use more often than not, but like I said, this is primarily to get around the whole "charging out the butt for taurs" thing- that and I wanted a ref for the D&D version of me, and sometimes it's fun to go bipedal instead of quad XP. Still, I'm glad you like it, BP, Hugs you.
