The PDP-18 is a straight-blowback-action pistol made to be a cheap, light and reliable self-defence weapon.
Chambering 9x18mm rounds with a semi-automatic rate of fire and an effective firing range of 50 metres.
The PDP-18 boasts reasonable accuracy and firepower for a pistol of its size, making the weapon effective against most soft targets.
These traits combined have made the PDP-18 very popular with civilian firearm enthusiasts.

*Note*
The standard size of a 9x18mm magazine for the PDP-18 is 12 rounds.
