Thought I would at least post up the updated image of Leandros along with a bit more info about him.
Age: 28
Species of Beastman: Lion
Occupation: Captain of the Guard and your Personal Manservan-I mean Royal Guardsman
Leandros was brought into the Yasan Royal family line as an adopted son of sorts at a young age after an (To be explained in a future release) incident left him alone and homeless. While still just a child, it was clear to the king and even the captain of the guard that his prowess in battle was unrivaled even when he fought against those who had decades of training with a sword. He was immediately put into training to become a knight and just as expected he learned quickly.
On the day of the prince's birth, the entire city celebrated in the streets, while at the castle the king and queen were already thinking of their son's future. All of those in the royal family had a kingsguard, and as per tradition, a beastman was always chosen. In hopes to continue to prove himself to the king, Leandros stepped forth and wished to be the newborn's kingsguard, a decision that both the king and the queen agreed with. He was to officially be assigned with the task of protecting the prince as soon as his training was over.
During his time as a squire, he met Ramos, a poor and disgruntled young rhino stealing food and other merchandise from vendors. After a quick brawl to which Leandros ended up losing and walking away with a bloodied nose, Leandros managed to stop the rhino. Hoping to be a positive influence like the knights he read about it stories, Leandros attempted to turn this beastman's life of crime around and brought him into the fold to become a knight as well, though it did not go exactly as he planned. Leandros quickly met his match with Ramos, becoming beaten time and time again by the reckless brute and damaging his ego. Ramos left the knights not but a year later, further besmirching the lion's pride that he couldn't even change the future of one trouble youth, despite the two of them being nearly the same age. Leandros further devoted himself to his training so that he would never fail again especially with his expected task of protecting the prince.
Leandros was given even more responsibility years later and more of a chance to prove his worth when the captain of the guard retired. Among one of his requests, he informed the king that he wished to have Leandros become the new captain of the guard. While much of the council disagreed with the idea especially the cities nobles who were very vocal about giving a beastman so much power, the king agreed, believing that Leandros was easily the best candidate, though he showed a bit skepticism knowing that Leandros still had his duties as a Kingsguard. After a few weeks of fulfilling both roles though, Leandros proved that he could easily handle the weight of his new position. The city became ever safer under his supervision and it didn't take long before the populace recognized Leandros's efforts and earned his trust.
Despite their constant bickering and fighting, to Leandros, the prince is someone he wouldn't hesitate to lay his life down to protect. A life without the prince is a life not worth living and if there ever was a source of strength for the proud and courageous lion, it would be him.
So what do you think? Is Leandros someone you would choose as your Kingsguard? Someone you could trust your life to?

Hello. This specific version of Leandros is an old one and is not the true version as I switched artists. The updated version of this lion is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/32771023/
I also read through your comic and saw that it looks to be fantasy/ medieval based which fits the world that this character lives in. So if you want, you have my permission to have my character appear in that comic.
