It's been so long since I created this (five years, jeeze, time flies!) but I thought it'd be a good idea to make it publicly available for those who missed the Indiegogo!
This is a 60 page book I put together with the help of my backers in 2013. It covers a load of topics: anatomy, posing, clothing, lighting, texture, colour theory, composition, backgrounds, perspective, character design, comics and painting. There's also a few little motivational pep talks, because if you're anything like me then art can feel like a monumental undertaking some days! This gives a bunch of exercises to help stretch your artistic muscles as well.
While it's old, a lot of the techniques are the same ones I use today. The book focuses on approach and exercises that will help you learn, plus tips/pointers that I found extremely useful!
For those interested, you can purchase the PDF from my gumroad for £5!
Really hope it's helpful, and hearty thanks once again to my backers!
P.S. It's my first time using gumroad, so if I've done something wrong with it pls message me ^_^*
P.P.S. I wish I could respond to all of you, but thanks so much to those who've already bought/are considering buying this! You're too kind! T_T

I've started 2018 with my journey to become an artist as a new years resolution. So far I almost drew every day, starting with copying others and then moving forward to own stuff and exercising with posemaniacs.com
Funny enough just yesterday I started to look for an online course since I felt stuck with my approach.
I bought your book and already flew over the complete pdf. It look exactly what I need in my current situation.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
Right now I do my daily drawing routine and started with our 'draw skeletons' exercise.
How precise would you advise these should be?
After my first minutes scribbling I get the feeling the mentioned large bones, bony prominences and hands + feet are the points I need to go further and for the rest connection lines should be fine.

That's so good to hear, and honestly congrats on keeping up with drawing every day! That's no easy feat and it's awesome to hear :D
In college, we were told to be as accurate as possible with the skeleton. It does help a lot, but I think when you're starting out it's completely worth focusing on areas you feel you need a better understanding first. It's good to draw the whole skeleton though for a sense of proportion. If you're looking at a live model or a photograph, you can identity the bones under the skin and see how they move too, which is handy!

Thanks a lot for the answer, I really appreciate it!
I did detailled skeletons today and it was eye opening how some bones are placed and I can already imagine how it will affect future drawings.
The next days I will keep working on this for a few more days until I'm able to do this completly from memory.

Well... thats weird.. I got the PDF and the book when you did the indigogo.. Was just about to ask if I could share the PDF with other people seeing as its been so long and I didnt know if you intended to continue to sell it.. So, very much yay for answering my question before I got around to asking. =P
I'm so glad it's been useful to you over the years! Thanks so much for supporting the Indiegogo. Unfortunately, I have no hard copies left over from it and haven't got plans to make a printed version again. :( Print runs and shipping are always more expensive and time consuming than I can usually manage unfortunately. So sorry about that!
The vast majority, yes! I think the only exceptions would be the painting tutorial and a few of the digital techniques I use mentioned at the very beginning. The rest is more about drawing fundamentals/anatomy/composition etc. and can be applied regardless of the medium!
I've been recently getting into drawing thanks to my bf input and while searching for a drawing tutorial this immediately came to my mind. I've been following you for forever and I was really happy to see this up for sale still!
Thanks for making something so useful, I'll be sure to study it thoroughly.
