They had been together for nearly 11 months now, talking with each other online, and over the phone. Barely a day went by without one or the other leaving a message for the other, or talking. Every day had led up to this day for him, every moment at a job he hated, co-workers who sucked and/or ignored him, and saving every bit of money he could, just to see her for the first time.
He had met her online, at a web site that featured a variety of artists. Within a week of first finding the other, he had fallen hard into love for her. Every day he could hear back from her, or talk to her, was bliss. Any time he was couldn't get to a computer, or had his phone off, hurt him. But that was going to change, now that he would meet her in her hometown.
All he had to identify her was a photo taken from her phone, and a park that was supposed to be close to where she worked. He had been sitting on one of the benches along the cement path for nearly an hour, after he had wandered around the grass area, trying to find her. 'She was supposed to meet me here awhile ago' he thought, a small frown on his muzzle. He ran a hand through his salt and pepper hair, his panda body trying to find a more comfortable resting spot on the bench.
'She said she wanted to see me too, even after I sent a photo...' For all his faults, she had told him that she loved him, as oftin as he had told her truthfuly he loved her. What seemed beyond him, aside from her loving him, was that she didn't seem to feel that she was either beautiful or deserved a guy who was better than him. He smiled as he glanced once more at the photo, her softly curved body was only enhanced by the smile on her face, her spotted cheetah frame leaning against a wall.
"Waitin for someone, good looking?" The question was whispered right next to his ear, making him nearly jump out of his fur. As he was about to turn to the woman and tell her off, he stopped due to his jaw dropping to the ground. There she stood, a smile on her face as she gazed at him with out a hint of appology. For that extra moment it took his brain to reset, she leaned in and kissed the corner of his muzzle. She slowly walked around the bench to sit next to the panda as he pulled his jaw up from the ground.
"I was, but it looks like my beautiful Lady Dawn showed up, like she promised..." The panda replied, letting one paw softly caress her cheek. He gave her a soft kiss in turn, letting it linger for a few extra heart beats. As he slowly drew back from the kiss, he saw her blushing. The panda stood up and offered his arm to her, letting her wrap her arm with his. Together they slowly walked to his car, holding each other close the entire way.
He opened the door for her, closing it for her when she was seated. Walking around to the driver's side, he couldn't help but look at her from the corner of his eye. He knew the photo wouldn't be good enough to show her true beauty, but he wasn't expecting her to be drop dead gorgious! His heart continue to beat fast, nervious that he would do something wrong. Quickly popping into the driver's seat, he glanced over at her. "where would you like to eat, my Lady Dawn?"
She sighed, and took a moment to think. Although they had talked about not going to any sort of fancy resaraunt, he had still insisted that he would take her out for dinner when they met.
"I think I would like to eat at anywhere but my work," she replied, a small look of disgust crossing her face. He nodded in understanding, having worked for a restaurant before, he knew the need to want to separate ones personal life from the work place. A moment later an idea came to mind, causing a small smile to cross his face.
"How about that one resteraunt you told me about, the one you've wanted to go to for a while now?" He watched in pleasure as a smile grew on her face, making him blush hard at the absolute beauty that was displayed on her face for anyone to see. A small cry of delight filled the car as she reached across to him and gave an akward hug.
"That would be so awsome! Yes, I would love to go there with you," she replied, the smile on her face only becoming more radiant. The panda smiled as he pulled out of his parking spot, and followed her directions to the restaurant. When they finnaly arrived at the restaurant, and had found a decent parking spot, he once more offered to escort her inside. Although the resteraunt wasn't fancy, there was still a line of people wanting a seat.
After putting in their names for a booth, the two of them went outside to wait for the hostess to call for them. They stood in front of the restaurant, holding each other lovingly as she told him about her day. Before she could realy get started on her day, they were called back inside. A small flash of irritation at being forced to remove himself from her loving embrace crossed his face before he followed her inside.
Once escorted to their booth and ordering drinks, he scanned the menu, quickly deciding on what he was and what he wasn't interested in. Setting down his menu, her returned his attention back to her. Instead of having her continue, he decided to tell her about what had happened to him sence they last talked. For the rest of dinner, they had chatted about almost anything that crossed either of their minds. After paying the tab, he stood outside the front door, holding her close as the sun was reaching the horizon.
"Would you like me to take you home my Lady?" He asked, knowing they had talked about what might happen. She laid her head on his shoulder, an unknown look on her face. It was several moments before she looked back into his eyes.
"Not tonight my panda. I want to be with you tonight" She replied in a near whisper, a small blush on her face. Smiling at her, he nodded at her and took the lead back to the car. He let her in first once more, letting her get ready before he got in himself. He slowly drove out of the parking lot, and down the road towards the hotel room he had rented.
Walking up to his room, for the first time in there relationship, they were relitively quiet around each other. Standing outside of the door, he paused and looked at her sincerly. "If you don't want to come in, it's ok. I don't want you to feel like you have to"
Taking in a deep breath, she firmly held his gaze and stated "I want to do this with you, as I have told you several times while we talked. So open this door, and let me in."
Slightly startled at her comment, he nodded dumbly and simply said "Yes my Lady Dawn" Letting her into the room, he watched her slowly take a look around the bathroom, and bedroom. After she came back to him, she kissed him on the lips, slowly dragging him to the bed. After pulling him down to the bed, she scooted back so he could follow. Following her movements, he climbed up onto the bed, letting his paws caress her body. He knew that whatever might happen after this, he knew one thing for sure: he would be here for his Lady, no matter what.

This is romance right here. Love, humor, joy, lovemaking, it's all here. Even brought a tear to my eye.
I can really feel the characters and their excitement of meeting each other face-to-face for the first time. They're living something I'm sure we all dream of.
A magnificent piece of work, my friend. Hits me right here -> You've done well. +fav.
