“No,” Tabitha said over the phone,” it’s not sore to the touch either on my or Erin’s side.”
“Hm.” Dr. Srinath Kattaura, the twins’ gastronomical specialist mused. “Okay, so the pangs have been intermittent and they don’t flare up on contact…”
Tabitha felt her sister hands lightly stroke the shared second of their belly and shot her a look. “No tender spots at all,” Erin murmured. “Even near my waist. Tabs, tell him what we had for lunch.”
“We grabbed a big burrito from a street vendor,” Tabitha admitted. “But we picked out all the beans!” Anything with beans in it was a no-no due to diverticulitis but the neither twin could resist; they’d only seen burritos on TV!
“That doesn’t mean there wasn’t something in it you didn’t see,” he admonished, but gently. “If I were you two, I’d go buy myself a liter of water, sit somewhere and drink it. Okay?”
“Yeah, Doc,” Tabitha groused. “Some first weekend in the Big Apple this is turning out to be. Sorry for calling you on your days off.”
“Tabitha, I’ve told you and your sister to call me if there’s an issue day or night. It’s not like either of you abuse the privilege, okay?”
The young husky smiled. “Thanks, Doc. I’ll let you go and enjoy your weekend.”
“You two do the same.”
Tabitha hung up and tucked the phone away in her purse. “You were right,” she told her conjoined twin. “We should have avoided the burrito.”
Erin smoothed the fur over their joined flesh back in place and smiled. “I’m glad you didn’t.” Her grin grew. “Now I get so say ‘I told you so’ for at least a week.”
Tabitha stuck her tongue out. “Just for that, I won’t agree to getting ice-cream later.”
“I didn’t say anything about getting ice-cream,” Erin insisted.
“So, you don’t want any?”
“Heeey, who said I didn't want ice cream?” Erin demanded.
“Great, where do you want to go for ice cream?”
Erin opened up her muzzle and closed it, but the look Tabitha returned was pure mischief. Finally, she giggled and shook her head. “Fine. Fine, fine, fine. Oh, hey, I think that’s a Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream truck!”
With surprising spend, the conjoined twins crab-scrambled after it, followed by a small crowd of New Yorkers for who this was the best entertainment they’d had in a week.

Meet Tabitha and Erin Lawson; two young, pretty and busty conjoined twins. They were joined by the stomach and because ti was more than just surface deep their parents decided not to risk separating them. They grew up in a very small Kansas town (although oddly they show no signs of an accent) where everyone knew them and could have stayed there for the rest of their lives; problem is that the girls grew hungry for fresh experiences as they grew older. At age eighteen they managed to get a scholarship from the Ink Machine School of Animation in New Your City; the two jumped at the chance. Managing to find a specialist in the area they set of for fame, fortune and to find some new friends along the way.
Welcome to the Big Apple, Girls. I hope they remember that, as they take a big bite, some times it bites back.
