Another piece of the 4-part set that for some reason I keep forgetting to post like a dweeb!

Kurri Buildings:
As mentioned previously, the kurri buildings are actually small space vessels that are lodged into the earth and re-purposed as working facilities. The ships are technically still functional, and often maintained as such, but they are kept in a shut-off or idle state for years, only moving when the rozenich they are studying decide to break down and transfer somewhere else. Unlike the rozenich structures, kurri architecture is more sleek, angular, and far, far cleaner with less organic feel to them. They are often kept pristine and bright, almost to the point of being in that uncanny hospital/lab sort of organized emptiness and purity. The buildings usually have multiple floors depending on size, with a minimum of two, and each floor has its designated purpose. There are floors and rooms for sleeping, resting, cleanliness, eating, etc.
Because kurri are so focused on their studies, most of their floors are dedicated to collecting their research or to have easy access to information. Technology is a big part of kurri society, and so it is extremely common to see computer systems and hand-held screens about. Charging stations for the portable hand-helds are always located directly in the first room for those kurri who go in and out, and a computer is usually nearby for looking up or dumping data. Kurri don't need much, so a few comfortable sitting places are all they need.
Books are not obsolete for kurri, however. Their purpose can vary: some information may be kept "out of the cloud" due to security reasons, some books may hold physical samples of a textile nature, many texts may just be so old they haven't been transferred yet, or some kurri just rather have something more tangible to do their studies. Young kurri are always taught via books rather than the technological screens or tablets until they move up, so it's totally possible for kurri to just prefer books over digital text. Either way, there are always bookshelves with books found on certain floors of a lot of buildings, though they are not available everywhere as books are not extraordinarily abundant, at least not in the ships brought down to the rozenich planet.
Kurri Rankings:
The kurri are a very organized race, and as such different kurri are given different jobs. Kurri are "assigned" based upon their skillsets, and while there can be some wiggle room for personal choices, that's not super common (there are little protests, at any rate). Some kurri may perform duties that exclusively keep them within buildings, so they very rarely go out and mingle with the outside world much (as in, they do not explore past the general area. They can still go outside!). Others, on the other hand, may primarily spend their days observing rozenich, fauna, or flora, and may only enter kurri buildings to sleep or recharge.
The color of the kurri uniforms indicate their rank or job. Cooler or more muted colors reflect kurri that stay within the buildings more often than not. Warmer, brighter colors reflect kurri that spend most of their time outside. Pink robes, specifically, indicate a kurri is new to the job, an apprentice: basically, someone who is still learning the ropes. Purple robes are reserved for younger kurri or children. Red robes are strictly for those in charge or in upper ranks.
It should also be noted, rozenich are rarely, if ever allowed inside the kurri buildings. While their security is not extremely high, rozenich typically know not to go inside unless they want to be yelled at. Linda is one of few rozenich (along with Harlie) who can enter kurri buildings without authorization. But sometimes... she probably shouldn't. For that matter, neither should Kacey... Oops.
