My part of a trade with

He wanted a short story of his character Mei getting turned into a police dog! So Mei visits the police station on a middle school field trip. He's really interested in seeing some of the German Shepherds that work with the officers and winds up getting a closer look than he ever anticipated.

Good story but I always wonder what would happen then. Is this full reality change and human Mei is wiped from reality, or there could be weirid investigation of one lost boy and one extra dog? Does he remember nothing (and in some time should forget human words except commands), or he just does not care about former life? Can he revert back?
Heh I had actually offered to make this longer, but talking with him it sounded like this was what he want.
Things are always open to interpretation, though I'll give the answers to what I prefer for those questions.
Mei isn't wiped from reality, but it's hard to focus on remembering him.
Mei sort of remembers who he is. But being called a good boy and being petted makes it difficult to focus on his past memories. He's still there, but playing the role is pleasant. He'll still always be able to understand what was said.
Can he revert back? I usually say no, TFs are one way unless something dramatic happens to reverse or overwrite it... Though I think with Mei, it's a running thing that he always gets turned back just in time to get stuck in some other situation. I seem to reclal a pic of him awhile back that was making a joke that he had been so many animals that in human form he was confused as to what he was supposed to be.
