Here's a tip: look up the Heinlein short story "-All You Zombies-"

It'll help you wrap your head around this story.

Interesting that you bring up that song, it also features in "-All You Zombies-"

The Bartender dislikes that song when it is played on the jukebox, then a few minutes later, he seems to either like it or at least no longer find it annoying.

So even the time machine is a paradox.
Wouldn't the time machine get older and more decrepit with each loop? How does it regenerate? Was it brought into existence by Glungph's self-creation?
