The main point of this old comic was for kinky fun, yes. But to show an Eevee meeting and 'experiencing' all the different eeveelutions he could become, so he was 100% sure that he wanted to become a Jolteon. Because once you evolve, you can't turn back. And this IS a 2-years later, and who knows how much 'action' he gets for this reason.
