Fireflies are absolutely fascinating creatures. They are the one bug, that I know of, that is absolutely harmless and has captivated almost everyone I know. They also happen to be great when making a somewhat introspective scene..
I've actually had this drawn up for a while, much like my "Sex in a Red Room" pic but haven't had the chance to color it. Since FA was down and I couldn't reach my references last night, I just worked on this. So with the help of
pinkuh who was kind enough to give me some color advice I think this image came out pretty well.

Heehee.. Picasso was such an A#$hole...spectacular artist, but a real jerk. But I love his work regardless. Him and Renoir ( I know, 2 completely different time periods of art) But what I take from Renoir is his lighting and philosophy. "There are too many sad and dark things in this world, I want to put some good things into it." or something to that extent.

You have got to visit MOMA in NYC...Motet's 'Water Lillies' triptych is my favorite piece in the entire museaum. I wasn't as impressed with Van Gogh's work, though...it was nice to see "Starry Night" up close and personal, but the crowd fawning all over it was annoying.
I really love this. the lighting is good and the general idea is just adorable :3

i never saw fireflies until i came to canada where we were driving along in between two fields and stopped to watch the hundreds of fireflies. it was gorgeous ;3
