Here is the third part of an illustrated sequence I did in collaboration with 
almeric featuring a space trucker that gets herself into a bit of a predicament.
I decided to go with the same background throughout to give a better sense of comparison and to streamline the sequence overall a bit. It was an interesting route to go. I've seen a lot of artists pull off the effect really well and I can now see the benefits of the approach, especially for someone that doesn't have as much experience with backgrounds like myself.

I always love the detail you put into your work! The background is very well done and the amount of detail in it is insane. I love how much detail you put into the rips even having frayed threads, and how you round out their faces. Also, I really like the style you chose. It really has a 1950s sci feel.
