Wake Island Rail for Roz's extinction card deck
The exact color scheme is a bit of a compromise between several images, some with more white/light markings and area, others duskier. My compromise has the more contrasting head markings and lighter breast. The birds were native to only Wake Island in the mid-Pacific Ocean. During WWII, Japanese troops who occupied the island became isolated by the US Navy blockade and ate them all. Here are a couple picking through empty cartridge cases looking for little crawlies to eat.
First properly new work in way too long. More to come.

Birds picking through spent casing feels symbolic. Makes me think of video made by someone I know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiuVInSnTZs
