Patrick and Kobe were playing video games during the day to spend some time on a nice day. Whilst playing, Kobe thought of a nice thing to do for his good friend. Turning his head to Nightwind he said, "Say Patrick, I have a wonderful surprise for you."
The black and white furred wolf's head snapped to him immediately. "A surprise? What kind of surprise?" Patrick was now more invested in what Kobe had to say than playing game on the TV screen.
Kobe chuckled and pulled out a hanky from his pocket replying, "Hehe, well put on this blind fold and I'll show you bud!"
Patrick excitedly wrapped the hanky around his face, covering those wonderful brown eyes. "Okay I'm can't see anything."
The blue eyed wolf smiled and took Nightwind's hand and guided him out of the house to his vehicle. As Patrick was helped buckled due to being blindfolded, he was confused as to why they were in Kobe's car. "Say where are we going? This isn't some prank is it?"
Kobe laughed shaking his head turning on the car. "No, no, silly! Would I lie to you? Your going to like it I promise."
"Well okay...." the green shirted wolf replied crossing his arms worried still that this was a prank. The car got out of Zootopia and into beautiful lush forests and fields. The noise was almost quiet except for the nature of it all. After a 25 minute ride, the car stopped and pulled over onto the side of the road. Kobe then shut off the car and told Patrick to wait in the car so that he could help out get out. Nightwind heard the door open and felt a hand grab his and gently help him out of the vehicle.
"Okay, were here but don't undo your blindfold yet, there's something else with the surprise." smiled Kobe.
Patrick was anxious to take it off, but he could handle a few more minutes of waiting. "Alright just say when."
"You betcha bud just let me move out here a little bit more." The black and white wolf heard his friend moving through what sounded like tall grass that was being walked on. It was quiet for a moment but then he heard what sounded like stomach noises. *GURGLE*
"What's going on?" asked Patrick nervously. His heartbeat was pumping and became more scared that this was prank.
His friend didn't respond as the noise of liquid were getting louder and louder. The young wolf was wondering what it was that was in front of him. A hose to spray water at him? He couldn't contain his anxiety for long. Soon enough the noises stopped and everything was quiet. Then a voice called out gently to him.
"Patrick you can take off the blindfold now."
Nightwind did as he was told and took off the hanky. Rubbing his eyes, he looked at what was in front him. The wolf couldn't believe his eyes! It was Kobe as a huge blueberry standing in what looked like a blueberry field as far as the eye could see!
Kobe looked at him with a blushing smile and puffy cheeks. "Well what do you think?"
Patrick could barely contain his excitement and happiness at this wonderful gift for him. He ran up to the blueberry wolf stating, "This field is so beautiful! I never expected to see anything like this!"
His friend laughed and smiled. "Well I thought of doing something nice for a change especially for a friend who loves blueberries!"
Nightwind peered down at his feet stained blue due to stepping on blueberries. Looking back at his friend he saw that he too was stained with bit darker blue with the same situation. Patrick then heard his friend say, "Want to hug this blueberry?"
Patrick didn't need to think twice and immediately wrapped his arms around Kobe. He rested his head against the exposed blue furred belly hearing the juice slosh about.
"This is the best surprise ever!! Thank you so much Kobe!!" he said in glee.
"Your welcome buddy." Kobe smiled looking down at his friend.
A thought then popped into Patrick's head. "Wait how are we going to get you back to Zootopia? You can't fit in your car!"
Kobe laughed and assuredly stated, "Don't worry one of our other friends can take my car back while you and I can walk home. I can give you a ride."
Patrick was even more happy to hear him say that, "Awww that would be so awesome of you!"
The huge berry wolf replied,"No problem. Anything to make a friend smile."
Both wolves stood there and hugged it out as the sun light gently hit upon them in the field of blueberries.
