After the initial successful evaluation of the Isoroku Yamamoto (BBTN-01) the CDN decided to implement the class as a whole with BBTN-02 (At the time unnamed) still under construction her superstructure was redesigned as it was deemed top heavy and was given an even greater Anit-Aircraft defense, with an astounding 98 Mk 19 AMD/CIWS, a dual turret remote operated weapon system tied to the fire control system and radar. As well as 36 Dual SAM launchers and 84 Short range VLS cruise missiles. The main armament was given a boost with the triple turrets being swapped out with quadruple turrets and 40 dual purpose dual turret 150mm guns.
