First of all, here is a rough translation for the cards:
"Fallen Tree"
Tiger: You use magic to clear the way - you lose one energypoint
Jaguar: You decide to find a different path - roll the die again and walk the second path
Panther: You simply jump over it - move to the next field
Lion: you throw yourself at the tree with full force and it cracks - move to the next field
Cheetah: you throw yourself at the tree with full force but it doesn't budge - draw another card
I wasn't sure if I should post this here, but figured I might aswell as this is gonna demand most of my time until september.
As some of you may know I am creating a board game as my final project for university and these are some of the event cards.
The cards will be roughly 3x2.25 inches and it was SO HARD to keep these simple and not too detailed. I had to stop myself from adding fur texture and other details every time :[
My university is in Germany so the project has to be done in german aswell, but I will likely translate everything once I am done.
I'm probably gonna print it three times, one has to stay in my university for good, one for my family at home and an english version for myself.
I'm not entirely sure whether I'm gonna sell the final product online or not, depends if there is any interest.
I have no idea what the printing costs are gonna be but all the materials I'm gonna have to buy (empty dice, board, box, plastic crystals etc) are gonna be roughly 20€ per game not including shipping T-T
Anyway, here's some info on the game itself:
The game is set in a medieval fantasy world and revolves around transformation and choosing a path.
"Arion" is being threatened by a portal emitting negative energy and sucking the life out the the environment.
Your objective is to get to the end with enough energy to close the portal.
There will be 6 character cards, each with two sides to them. One being a cat and one a human character.
Based on which side you are playing as there are different outcomes for the events, you have different paths to choose from and different dice.
Basically the cats will have the faster route and the humans will have the option to collect energy.
Energy is needed to transform your character during the game and a certain amount is necessary to win at the end.
