Meet Wendy Spinner

I have been just going "Unicorn Crazy" trying to get Wendy, my new character for the Artist and Muse series worked out. With each sketch and doodle, more and more of her personality and back story comes out. This image shows her basic features and proportions, but nothing is set in my drawing muscles yet. Still, I am pleased at how "Cute" she turned out.

In a few places, artists did drawings of Inspector Stagg (whitetail deer) with a fedora. The ear and antler issue was resolved by slots around which you slide the ears and horns, and then secure with a button.

Hee! I was kinda pondering on just having her wearing a sunhat on the far, back crown of her head, but I like the extra holes and snaps idea too.

extra slots for ears and/or horns is a interesting thing. could have a elastic band in the horn slot to help keep it in place so it doesnt just blow off.slots for ears to go thru. or shaped hat with high sides .

The self closing slot for Wendy's horn is an intriguing idea. I think I'll work on some sketches of that.

Nice work. I like that she can crack her tail like a whip. Adds a little toughness to her otherwise cute look.

It might be interesting to show her defensive side, and also build her back story on how she gained those skills.

Kinda like "Kung Fu" for Ungulates? (Tiny chimes tinkle in the distance.)

That's not a bad idea. In fact it might be the simplest solution if Wendy wants to protect her eyes from the sun.

Right. I was trying to keep Wendy "Cute" because after all, she's a magical creature similar to my character "Muse."
