They are indeed stronger than human nails, they're needed for climbing the various huge trees in our homeworld. They're also tough enough to allow us to hang from branches with our whole body weight dangling too, so they're pretty amazing. But if anyone wants to pamper these peets with a pedicure, I would be honored and in love. I may fall asleep from how nice it feels, just saying...
