Inspired by the film Coco I give you a doggo based on Alebrije Dante, this is not supposed to be at all an exact representation of Dante from the film but rather capture the spirit of the bright and exuberant character.

This is the only Alebrijes inspired costume I have done that is asymmetrical in color as Dante himself does not have symmetrical colors or markings, to keep the design more coherent however I matched the colors of the paws to ears and the colors of the limbs are matched crisscross: the left arm and right leg are aqua, red, pink, and lime, and then the right arm and left leg are blue, lime, orange and yellow.

I took this guy to my local comic con and he was VERY well received, people who have not seen the film automatically assumed I was a pinata upon seeing my pinata prop (which was the plan, I found people interact better when they can pin-point what your costume is supposed to be) the majority of people knew what I was representing though with remarks ranging from "the dog from that Disney movie" to "Dante the Alebrije!" to which you knew they were avid fans ^__^ and I even ran into a very excited Miguel cosplayer!!! :D
