Everyone knows now that big bad can do flaming punches. Those are excess amounts of his energy spilling out when he focuses his abnormal super strength to his fists. now picture him trying to push out the same outwards, creating not only a large barrier, but shaping it into any large body part he chooses. him being in the center makes it the ultimate offense/defense ability but hard to think or react.
