Sadly, a tale often told.
The Dodo was a case of the evolution of a pigeon gone horribly wrong (plenty of food, no natural predators). Not just men, but their dogs and pigs preyed on the birds. Artificially introduced snakes are killing much of the avian population of Hawaii. What were they thinking, "I'm moving to paradise and I have to take my reptiles with me?"
