I think you achieved your goal rather well. It was pretty much what I was thinking before I saw what you wrote. The colors are gorgeous...!

Thank you! The key I think was to maintain a broad gradient and so as little as possible to disrupt it

Aw thanks! I should do more studies like these :D I have some ideas for maybe alternate ways of depicting water for the same result but I’d need to practice it
