A Canadian CF-18 Hornet, from 433 Tactical Fighter Squadron, 3 Wing, based at CFB Bagotville, Quebec. In US service, this would be an F/A-18A.
This is a demonstration plane, wearing a special paint scheme to commemorate the 60th anniversary of NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command). The pilot told me the plane has been making appearances at airshows across North America. He was making a fuel hop here, flying up from New Mexico on his way to Winnipeg.
This is the first time I've seen a Canadian military jet land here, and the paint job is just beautiful, so this added a little something interesting and different.
