If you don't know who Robert Crumb is...shame on you. His underground comix were a huge influence on me and he was one of the first cartoonists to use funny animals in adult situations. When I was in college I imagined running away to San Francisco to become an underground cartoonist myself, but there was a little matter of my 2S student deferment at the time. (Ask your parents (or your grandparents, depending on your age) about that one.)
