That looks like the actual picture but with a different colour scheme (I like it.) I love the detailing and the colours!

Thanks! I wasn't really aiming to get the colours exactly right nor was I aiming to reproduce the picture exactly (hence leaving out the halter etc.). But I like the end result nevertheless. ^_^

Thank you very much, I've had a steep learning curve with black paper, but I'd like to think I've done okay so far. The next step of course is to bring into play liquid inks and black paper. Now that will definitely be trouble... ^_^

Inks and water colouring is very challenging. I've done some work with black paper and depending on the composition of the sheet can absorbe or bleed your colours making it hard to bring out the image without having a brick of ink or crunchy liquid.

My first few cracked and looked terrible because I didn't know how the paper would react, I had kept at it until I got the image I wanted... then it dried ugh!

I have no idea how mine will react yet, but one day when I have nothing at all to do, I will get out all my supplies and start experimenting. ^_^

Keep me/us posted I'd like to hear how you fair.

Will do. Although don't expect anything any time soon, I am crazy busy at the moment. I'm lucky I have time to do regular drawings every now and then. (Total for this week, half a mountain lion head.)

Mostly they do. Young foals might not, but as adults, it's actually dangerous for horses to lie down for long periods of time.

Yes, they will crush their internal organs. That why, if a horse is sick, it's imperative to keep it on its feet, otherwise it will die for certain.
