Sewing by hand SUCKS, guhh... WIP
STILL haven't finished this damn suit!! SORRY FOR BAD QUALITY FOTO. :P
But do you know how discouraging it is, every time you think about working on it, to remember that you have to sew it ALL by hand? MY HANDS HURT SO. MUCH.
I have no sewing machine. This is the LAST TIME I ever sew anything big like this by hand, ever again (watch me do it again in a month =P).
ANYWAYS. This is how far it's come, I'm sporting my awesome badge from
graverobber and my fcking ADORABLE Wild Dog plushie from 
missy_da_dane (thanks again, I fraeking love this plushie to pieces).
There are still many problems with the suit - it's too tight on me, is the biggest problem. I struggle a lot when I put it on. I even added an extra strip down the front of the stomach, and it's still tight.
The zipper shows a little.
But it's only my second suit ever, so I think it's pretty good, considering.
NYA I'm done talking now!! I only have like a week and a half to finish this thing!

Sewing by hand does huer I did my sleeves by hand and my thump was bleeding, but I learded a trick! Wrap your thump in ducttape and that helps with the pain quite a bit. Your doing such a good job too, it really looks good and for your second one? I would of never guessed it looks like you have been doing this for a few years or so. And love those ears XP uber cute

Ya, I found I feel more comfortable hand sewing my suit, even if did take so long to do. I never really had much of a problem with sore hands. I kind of found working on it rather relaxing in a way. That or it just gave me something do for a period of time.
I would only use a sewing machine for the body liners and anything that can be done quickly in one go and when it doesn't involve thick fur. I feel that I have far more control and comfort doing sewing by hand. Or maybe I haven't found myself a good enough sewing machine that can do fur without it slipping all over the place and could still get into some tight spots.

I must say that I really love this suit! And I agree with you about sewing. It's the main reason why if I ever decide to finish the fursuit head base I have lying around I'm only going to make a partial to go along with it. But If I ever complete it it will be a wild dog, too. I'm obsessed with those guys. XP
Cute suit, and I can agree that hand sewing anything Fursuit wise together is a pain in the butt >< I attempted that with trying to hand sew together lower leg leggings to make my partial a half suit for Halloween, which didn't come out to well ^^; Since it was my first time patterning pants off the leggings that were to be worn underneath. Fit find everywhere, except my waist area was to wide and too low in the back ^^; So I know your pain about hand sewing a project. I grew some kind of callous near one of my fingers from all the hand sewing
