And who said Saber should have all the fun with being the heir to the Demon Realm?

There are many possible candidates for the Demon Realm throne. The rule is that the strongest becomes Demon Lord. Saber, being the son of the current Demon Lord is naturally gifted with his powers. But that doesn't mean the kingdom will automatically go to him. So if Saber were to be killed, who else could possibly take the throne? There are quite a few, but let us focus on one of the more interesting cases today.

Introducing Soot. Those who have read the ADAC comic or are aware of certain characters from the Emerald Generations rps may recognise the name, but not necessarily the design. Most people will recognise Soot as being a lesser demon that hangs around Saber and whos owner is Master Matzos. However, owner is a rather strong word, as Master Matzos rescued Soot. Soot in general is not a physically strong demon, never has been. Matzos rescue him from his inevitable demise and chose to keep Soot around as a kind of house cat. But in the many years he's stuck around, he's learnt a thing or two about magic, mainly by watching Saber training.

Soot eventually evolves into a higher demon, with this as his chosen identity. But there are a lot more secrets behind this demon than it first appears, which will eventually be revealed in the NADAC comic. Soot relies heavily on magic and trickery. He may not be the strongest demon, but without caution, he can be a deadly force, rivalling any of the possible future Demon Lords.
