Unless you've been living under a rock for a while, you probably haven't heard the big multi-media news story of the year... On Monday, August 31, 2009. Disney Entertainment had just acquired the Marvel Universe for a staggering $4 billion (with a B)!
Needless to say, if THIS isn't a 'target of opportunity' for "Fur Affinity" artists to take advantage of, nothing is!
I can see it now... Satires of Disney characters teaming up with Marvel Super Heroes... 'Ariel' ("The Little Mermaid") with 'Prince Namor' ("The Sub-Mariner")... 'Pocahontas' with 'Rocket Raccoon' (instead of 'Meeko')... 'Spiderman' with 'Super Goof'... and my favorite potential pairing-up: 'Donald Duck' vs. 'Howard the Duck'! (To 'Daisy Duck', it isn't a case of "may the best duck win"; it's more of a case of "picking the lesser of two evils"!)
Not to "look a gift horse in the mouth" (I really got to knock it off with these old adages), I've decided to team up a very unlikely duo... She's from the "West Coast Avengers"... He's from the 'Hundred Acre Woods'... Just think of the possibilities... or maybe not! :-P

I was hanging on to see if a potential "S.H.I.E.L.D." movie was in the works (based on the 'tag endings' to "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk"); but now, the jury is out in my mind, since Disney bought Marvel. I'll bet Walt is turning in his grave... or his refrigerator, or wherever the hell he is entombed!
So you DID take that idea to heart! Hmm, this is quite surprising. I don't think "Busty" and "Braindead" are a good combo. Poor Tigra. She got stuck with the iconic figure of forgetfulness and naivety! XD
I am appauled "Marvel" sold itself to "Disney". The resulting conflict will scar generations of children for years to come! And the psycological effect on those who grew up with the Golden Age of Marvel will suffer terrifying trauma. I know I'm suffering from this
WHY??!!?? DX<
Oh why Marvel, why??!!?? You've broken my plastic heart!! I hope Baron Blood drains away your darkened plasma for this, you cooperate money grubbers!! D:<

You're right, Gokutothez. Transactions of this nature shouldn't be so alarming to the populace. I recall (many years ago) a David Letterman joke about the three major networks and their own acquisitions...
Letterman: "You've got CBS, which is owned by Westinghouse - which makes refrigerators... You've got NBC, which is owned by General Electric - which makes refrigerators... And you've got ABC, which is owned by Disney - whose founder lives in a refrigerator!"
