Axikor Art Nouveau Portrait
Finished watercolor portrait for Axikor! I bought a whole new pigment just for this piece called opera pink, and I'm delighted at how bright of a pink it is. This piece is approximately 5.75" X 6.25", done with Daniel Smith watercolors and finetec mica based paints on 300lb coldpress watercolor paper.
I have seven more of these to upload, I'll try to do one or two per day so to avoid a flood. I have a metric f*ton of content to post from Patreon too, but much of it is writing and I'm making little bits of cover art for it so it's not just a bunch of word walls. Soon!

Maybe you could offer hand-embellished prints alongside the badge commission? It's con season, so a lot of people are looking for badges. Plus, I've always thought it was kind of iffy when people laminated original artwork. There's no coming back from a bad lamination!
With two pieces, they get a useable badge and the original art to hang if they want it.

I try to do large washes in one or two passes, but no more than that otherwise I find I get undesired textures, like granulation and weird pooling. For a lot of watercolor artists, those textures are sought after though! I'm working pretty small, and treating watercolors similarly to markers, so my goal is to get less texture on piece like these.
