My entomology buddy
Pariah_Lycan really liked my previous bug gals and commissioned me for one of his own! He wasn't sure what species to go with but I knew he'd written papers about the American Burying Beetle and rather liked the critters, so I suggested it, and, well... here we are XD
American Burying Beetles are an endangered species of beetle that help to break down the bodies of dead wildlife. Not very glamorous, but without them there'd be a lot more flies and rotten stuff hanging around! They can also lift 100 times their own body weight and are one of the few insect species that have both parents take care of their young.
