It's generally unwise to mess with the eggs of large birds weilding claws like cleavers, especially if one happens to be passing by that knows her way around in the darkness of night.

First piece of official Stryx art featuring my first lady adopted from the group's adoption loft! Been too sick the last few days to reliably work on commission art, and poked at this during the brief patches of clarity in the head fog to keep some kind of art momentum going. Not fully in the clear yet, but I'm hoping my fever breaks in the next couple of days to give my poor head a rest. T_T

At least this piece got me to practice with making some custom brushes to speed the efficiency of doing texture work like the grasses and the far shoreline - wooo!

The would-be thief in this image that received a sharp reminder that the smaller tytos aren't the only birds of the night is a creature I've been loosly referring to as a 'false amphithere' for lack of more creative titles. ^_^;
