I got inspiration for this from a quote in the bible, of all things. (note, I'm not a religious person, I just find inspiration in a lot of places). The quote goes something like 'Blessed are the peace keepers, for they will be called Sons of God.'
The rhythm and flow of the poem came from a rap song I don't remember at the moment, but it really moved me when I first heard it. I used the melody and flow from the chorus for the rhyme scheme. Hope you guys like it.
