Lynxes aren't typically known for their singing voices; whereas other felines are famous for soaring mewls or sultry purrs, the most prominent lynx vocalist I can think of primarily growls and screams in a thrash metal band. Sanding, however, sounds different from any other cat - or anyone, period. He makes full use of his five-octave range: his middle register has a kind of lived-in scratchiness that can convey hard-won optimism as easily as it does abject misery, but he can dip into a terrifyingly angry baritone growl or leap into an equally terrifyingly beautiful tenor with seeming effortlessness." - Whirl Magazine
So you might have seen this video floating around in the past few days. I figured it'd be fun to base Heath's voice off what actual lynxes sound like - it makes sense for his character that he would have a fantastically weird singing voice and then try to make music that did it justice rather than just have him sound pretty. He doesn't do pretty, he does ART.
